About Kathy Puseman

Kathy Puseman and her husband, Paul, have been residents of Bailey for over 25 years. Kathy earned her B.A. in EPO Biology from the University of Colorado in 1990, working as an archaeobotanist at a lab in Golden for 23 years. She currently owns her own small business, Paleoscapes Archaeobotanical Services Team (PAST), LLC, identifying plant remains from archaeological samples. She has participated in the Fairplay Archaeology Day for the past two summers with the South Park Site Stewards. She is Treasurer at Shepherd of the Rockies Lutheran Church in Bailey and for Mountain Toastmasters Club 7992 in Evergreen. 

Kathy and Paul have two boys who graduated from Platte Canyon High School and enjoyed all their school and extracurricular activities over the years. Kathy has volunteered in classrooms, chaperoned field trips, was President of the PTA, participated in FMS Colorado Day, attended Sea Camp, worked the concession stand, and planned Homecoming and After Prom events with the PCHS Booster Club. She served as Committee Chair for BSA Troop 238 in Bailey while her husband was Scoutmaster. Kathy is also a merit badge counselor for other Scouting America troops in the Greater Colorado Council. She has been a member of the PCHS SAC Committee since 2012, serving as Secretary from September 2017 – May 2025.

Kathy enjoys camping, rafting, and hiking with her friends and family, as well as reading, scrapbooking, and Jazzercise.
